This innovative scout mount will fit any Remington® Model 700 ADL or BDL that has a standard weight barrel with a rear sight ramp held on with two 6-48 screws. This is the most common barrel profile found on the Model 700, and may be found in any caliber from .17 up to .30. The length of action does not matter. The installation is simple and usually accomplished in under 10-minutes with few tools. This mount weighs only 6.6 ozs, and is finished in a low-reflective, flat black anodizing.
The rugged mount centers directly over the bore and is machined from extruded 6061T6 aluminum, and then anodized with a flat black finish. The full-length Picatinny rail will accommodate long eye relief scopes or projected dot sights.
Like all Mini-Scout-Mounts™, this model accepts Tactical Light Mount Kits for quick and secure mounting of tactical flashlights, laser sights and other accessories. It will also accept the new Detachable Sling Mount Kit, or Tactical Sling Mount Adapter for a quick and solid sling attachment point.
Installation Guide
The barrel MUST be drilled and tapped for the rear sight ramp. These holes are used to index the mount correctly on the barrel.
The mount will work with all wood or synthetic stocks, but will require some inletting to clear the barrel clamp. This inletting is not visible if done carefully.

A: No.
A: We have not been able to document any significant improvement in accuracy after installing our mount. But we have never seen any decrease in accuracy after installation.
A: NO. The barrel diameter of the magnum calibers in Model 700’s is larger than the standard barrel and our mount cannot be modified to fit.
A: Over the years, Remington made variations of fore end length on both ADL and BDL stocks, usually associated with caliber. If your fore end is too long and the look bothers you, the easiest fix is to trim the fore end to match the mount and refinish it.
A: Yes. Just inlet the stock to clear the barrel clamp enough so it too is free floated.
